That's according to Sports Zone, who claim that the 26-year-old's £50million release clause that can be triggered this summer. City are reported to be one of the clubs to have approached the Bundesliga outfit along with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Since joining Leipzig in 2020, he has gone on to make 148 appearances for the German outfit, scoring 29 goals and providing 34 assists along the way.
