The movie “For Prophet,” filmed in Elgin and starring, from left, Valentina Garcia, Ben Marten and Enrico Natale, debuted at Marcus Cinemas in Elgin Wednesday and opens at some theaters June 21. The red carpet was rolled out at Marcus Elgin Cinema Theater Wednesday for the premiere of “For Prophet,” a faith-based comedy filmed in Elgin.
Filmed in and around downtown Elgin, the movie stars Ben Marten , Valentina Garcia , Enrico Natale , T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh , Eddie Jemison ,and Chicago performer Bert Belasco in his final on-screen performance before his death in November 2020.
