The actress recently joined the RTÉ soap opera to play newcomer Emma Rafferty - but she already had a connection to the show thanks to her husband Carl Austin

The actress and writer, who plays Carrigstown's Emma Rafferty, always dreamed of joining the hit Irish soap opera, but the right opportunity never came along for her.

This week viewers saw her reunite with Con Rafferty for a bedroom romp during James and Hayley's wedding."And Emma is so suited to me because she can be quite funny but there's also a bit of an edge."

Tara explained: "It's not that they're particularly close, but Emma and James have had to endure some turbulence so she cuts her son a bit too much slack. I think that Emma is in denial about a lot of James gets up to.
