DJ Dugspin will take the main stage of the 2024 Hoboken Spring Arts & Music Festival on Observer Highway at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, May 19 . With half of 2024 just about in the books, how is the Hudson music scene faring this year? It’s been an interesting six months, if nothing else.
Very little seems to be changing under Cricco-Powell so far, as Hoboken continues popular summer programs like Fitness in the Park in three locations, Movies Under the Stars every other Wednesday evening, and a full slate of summer concerts at Southwest Park and Resilient City Park on the west side, as well as Shipyard Park and Sinatra Park on the waterfront.
Mastro has had an incredibly busy year. Besides having just completed a national tour playing in the Alejandro Escovedo band and booking shows and art events at 503 Social Club, the singer-songwriter releasedMastro and his good friend Tony Shanahan began working on “Dawn of a New Error” some 15 years ago, with Shanahan engineering the project at his studio in bits and pieces and time allowed.
