Avatar: The Last Airbender was an easy renewal for Netflix, as it will finish out its source material after itsThe show is extremely well cast, and now they want to make sure they get things right for one of the most important, beloved characters of the series, Toph Beifong, the powerful, tiny earthbender.for who should play the part, and this is how many of the other actors were so well-cast, as almost none were recognizable faces before this.
Additionally, since Toph is blind, the casting call actually asks for blind or low vision actors to try to submit for the part, and I would be surprised if the final actor cast was not in that category. But finding a blind, female, Asian teen, preferably with dance or martial arts experience, who can channel Toph effectively is certainly going to need a large-scale hunt like this.She is sassy, confident and unfiltered.
I wish them luck as this is going to be a very important role that is very hard to get right with some very significant qualifications required. And they only have a few months to find them if filming begins in just a few months. The first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender went surprisingly well as most fans were worried it would botch the source material, which it didn’t. It may not have beenas enthusiastically received as One Piece on Netflix, but it will still generally pretty positive overall.
