I’ve been writing about video games, television and movies for Forbes for over 10 years, and you may have seen my reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. I cover all manner of console and PC games, but if it’s about looting or shooting, I’m definitely there. If I’m watching something, it’s usually science fiction, horror or superheroic.

at all, but rather the younger version of her character as we learned about her backstory, her family and the fire that killed them all. Well,I was not the biggest fan of the first two episodes as the secret-twins-with-the-same-haircut concept felt a bit forced, but I really enjoyed episode 3 and am now pretty locked in to the show. I’m very invested in now solving two of its biggest mysteries, one of which was laid out last night.

The biggest mystery revealed last night is how the twins were born in the first place. They live in a coven of all-female witches so giving birth to children is…not really a thing. They’re not flying any men out, they’re not taking children from somewhere else and there does not appear to be any sort of cloning tech they were using. They call the twins a “miracle.”

Then, we get into interesting Anakin Skywalker territory. Almost the same exact line when questioned by the Jedi about who the father is: “there is no father,” mother Aniseya says. Then, we hear both mothers talking to each other where Koril says that she carried the twins and Aniseya says she “created” them.

This episode also gives us clues about the second mystery set up in the initial two episodes, who is training Mae. The most obvious answer would seem to be a potentially surviving mother Aniseya, or possibly Koril, but Aniseya seems like the more likely option to me, given her power level. Yes we saw her “dead,” but I mean, she really could have just been unconscious and escaped for all we know, similar to what happened with Mae.

If this is what’s happening, then I mean, of course Aniseya would want to wield Mae as a weapon to hunt down the Jedi. Even if Mae started the fire, the Jedi’s appearance and recruitment of Osha is what sparked all this in the first place. I also think it’s a clue that Mae has been trained to kill Jediusing a lightsaber, throwing knives, poison, etc. I’m not sure what the significance is of her master wanting her to kill one of them without using a weapon at all.
