The Grammy winner has finally released the music video for her latest single 'Alright' — a sultry, Kaytranada produced club banger that has been in daily rotation for this writer here since Monét released her debut studio album Jaguar II last year. In the visual, Monét—with the help of her choreographer Sean Bankhead and director Dave Meyers—pays homage to some of the most recognizable music videos of the last century.
After immense demand from fans for 'Alright' to be an official single over the last year, Monét announced that a music video was on the way during her live set at this year's Coachella Music Festival. Last year ahead of the release of Jaguar II, Monét dug into her creative process as a songwriter with Harper's Bazaar. “When I’m describing things or when lyrics come, they’re not planned. Like, I almost feel like they’re gifts,” she previously said.
