A major crash in Brisbane’s south-west has seriously injured five people, with speed being investigated as a possible cause. The crash took place on Forest Lake Boulevard, Forest Lake, about 10pm on Saturday.

A Mercedes-Benz travelling south collided with a Toyota Landcruiser at the intersection of Renoir Crescent, according to police. “Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing and will establish if speed was a contributing factor to the crash,” police said in a statement. Queensland Ambulance Service medical director Steve Rashford said it was a “very high impact” crash.
