Two arrests made at high-society UK wedding attended by Prince William, moments after he leaves the church

Thousands of well-wishers gathered in the UK for the wedding of the Duke of Westminster, where the Prince William acted as one of the ushers in the high-profile wedding party. Hugh Grosvenor, the godson of King Charles III, married Olivia Henson at Chester cathedral, but there were dramatic scenes outside the church as two people were arrested.

Cheshire Police said two women, a 69-year-old from Manchester and 73-year-old from Suffolk, had been arrested on suspicion of public order offences and remained in custody. Grosvenor is a godfather to 10-year-old Prince George, the eldest son of William and his wife Kate. Kate, who is being treated for cancer, did not attend the wedding. Neither did William’s estranged younger brother Prince Harry, who lives in California with his wife Meghan and their two children.
