Pat Sajak wants everyone to know how lucky he feels to have hosted “Wheel of Fortune.” Sajak's final episode will air June 7, and he shared some words for all the fans and viewers who have tuned in over the years in a farewell message. “Well, the time has come to say goodbye. I have a few thanks and acknowledgements before I go. And I want to start with all of you watching out there,” he began, in a preview clip shared by the show.

weatherman Al Roker also honored Sajak on June 7 with a post to his Instagram page. 'Congratulations to a former tv weather guy, who made us proud, Pat Sajak, the king of @wheeloffortune on his last spin!!!' he wrote, alongside a selfie of himself with Sajak. Before 'Wheel of Fortune,' Sajak worked as a weatherman at local news stations in Nashville and Los Angeles.
