Thomas Rhett's new album, 'About a Woman,' arrives for fans to enjoy on Aug. 23.

Thomas and Lauren, 34, share four daughters -- Willa Gray, 8, Ada James, 6, Lennon Love, 4, and Lillie Carolina, 2. The"Marry Me" singer says his girls -- while lovers of his other music -- take slight issue with his slower songs.

After getting the approval of his daughters and wife -- who he's written a love song or two about -- Thomas landed on more than a dozen songs that he co-wrote. The album utilizes retro sounds and fast-paced tempos to tell a story about the thing he knows best thanks to his high school sweetheart and wife of 12 years: love.

His daughters are equally excited, especially his eldest, Willa Gray, who recently told him she approves of his music, even if that approval did come in an unconventional way. As detailed in his hit songs"Die a Happy Man" and"Life Changes," Thomas and Lauren met when they were in kindergarten and briefly dated in high school. They later reunited as adults and wed in 2012 at 22 years old.
