Author and media personality Khaya Dlanga recently shared a heartbreaking story of the time 14-year-old Doja Cat reached out to him in search of her father, Dumisani Dlamini. In an Instagram video he shared on Wednesday, Dlanga opened up about receiving an email from the American musician – real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – after watching his YouTube videos and realising that he was South African.
“She sent me an email saying she was looking for her dad. My heart broke, and I wanted to see if there was anything I could do. I put her story on“I called a cousin of mine, who was a well-known actor, to ask him if he knew him and if he could give him Doja Cat’s email and my contact details, and he said he made contact with him.
“I have tried to search for my baby and the company that runs her entertainment has been blocking me. They know that if I could get hold of her, maybe she will disappear from the picture … I know my daughter, wherever she is, is looking for me.”“She got hold of me. We spoke. We connected. Now, at this time when she is there and on top, she has to grab the whole world, especially in SA because she is a South African and her daddy is here. It’s a made up thing.
The 28-year-old doubled down on her remarks in the comments section, saying: “ gave me a lazy eye and dipped.”
