South Africa is winning on the global stage. Water singer Tyla and Kairo Forbes both received nods at this year's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

The Afrobeats superstar was nominated in three categories: Favorite Viral Song 'Water', Favorite Breakout Artist and Favorite Global Music Star .

Kairo Forbes, 8, was nominated for Favourite African Kids Influencers and will go up against Dream Catches Academy, Biko's Mana, DJ Wysei and Boluwatife Balogun. This year's awards will be hosted by Spongebob SquarePants and Patrick Star as the animated show celebrates its 25th anniversary. Leading the nominations are Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo and Beyonce, nominated for four awards each.Hunter Deno *Sofia Wylie Dylan Gilmer Joshua Bassett Adam Sandler Brady Noon Jack Black Shameik Moore Hailee Steinfeld Austin Butler *"Baby Don't Hurt Me"- David Guetta, Anne Marie* and Coi Leray*"Fortnight"- Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone"SUPPOSED TO BE LOVED"- DJ Khaled featuring Lil Baby,* Future* and Lil Uzi Vert*).
