In a statement regarding the June 3 incident, police say officers responded about 9:30 p.m. to a report of gunfire near 19th Avenue and Karluk Street. A passerby identified two men in the senior center parking lot as being involved in the shooting, police said.
Bourdukofsky has been charged with murder, weapons misconduct, and assault in the death of Joe. Police shot him as he tried to flee, according to a criminal complaint.
