The Gail Borden Public Library’s Pride Month exhibit at the main Elgin library recognizes LGBTQ+ writers whose works have been published from the 1850s to the present. The Gail Borden Public Library’s Pride Month exhibit honors LGBTQ+ writers whose works have been published from the 1850s to the present.

Concessions will be available and activities, including movie bingo offered, before the animated movies is shown starting at dusk.St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Elgin will be holding its annual Greek Fest Friday through Sunday, June 7-9. The free event will feature live music, southern food vendors, a beer tent and other activities, according to its webpage. Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and noon to 11 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds help support community programs offered through nonprofit Taste The Love.State Reps. Dan Ugaste, R-Geneva, and Jeff Keicher, R-Sycamore, will host an Outside Kids Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Chapelstreet Church, 3435 Keslinger Road in Geneva.
