Tim Lovejoy’s rival Andi Peters was meant to host Sunday Brunch before he took the job, Tim tells Chris Evans Virgin Radio Breakfast Show

SUNDAY Brunch star Tim Lovejoy reveals he replaced Andi Peters as host of the popular Channel 4 show.

Explaining how he landed the gig, Tim said: "I was called into the BBC and they said 'we've got this show for you. We're not sure you'll want to do it, but this bloke in the office thinks you'll be good for it. "The show was there, I just chipped up at the end and we just met, got on and it was brilliant. And I was like, 'I'd love to do that'."

Tim shot to fame as the face of Soccer AM which he hosted from 1996 to 2007 alongside Helen Chamberlain.
