Security vision has emerged of a man who allegedly posed as a police officer and carried a fake gun on a road in Melbourne’s southeast. Shaun Mills, 46, is accused of breaking into a home at Malvern East about 3pm on Sunday and stealing clothing belonging to a Public Service Officer , including a shirt and boots. While he was inside, one of the occupants came home and confronted him. He then fled on foot.
At 11pm the same day, police received reports of the man wearing the uniform, and holding what appeared to be a firearm, on Warragul Rd and then on Castlebar Rd at Oakleigh. Police, the Air Wing and the dog squad all searched the area, but could not find the man. But they then received another call that he was at a licensed premises on Dandenong Rd at Oakleigh.
