Man Utd 'consider' bid for £51m defender as Premier League star targeted

Rumours claiming that Manchester United are in the market for certain new signings this summer continue to swirl.

According to the Express, United are showing an interest in signing Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande. The report claims that the Reds have identified the centre-back as a target this summer as they look to strengthen their defensive options. United have Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as their current left-back options. Shaw spent several weeks of the season on the sidelines through injury, while Malacia has not featured for the club since May last year, also due to injury.
