Israelis have more confidence in our president than Americans have in their prime minister to do the right thing regarding world affairs, new surveys show.

Netanyahu hasn’t enjoyed the “rally around the flag effect” American presidents typically enjoy in the early days of a war, he noted.The next scheduled parliamentary elections in Israel aren’t until October 2026, but Gray said elections could happen earlier if Netanyahu loses the confidence of the Israeli parliament.

The U.S. ranks higher on that list than Egypt, European countries, Saudi Arabia, the United Nations or Qatar. There’s a strong alliance and friendliness between the U.S. and Israel, but Biden and Netanyahu have somewhat of a strained relationship, said Oklahoma State University politics professor
