A Perth man feared he would die when a minor crash ended with him being brutally attacked by another driver. Dermott*, 55, was heading home from work about 5.45pm on Tuesday, May 21 when he stopped at the intersection of Alexander Dr and Woodrow Ave in Dianella.
Driver bashed after minor crash with ute. While waiting at the lights, a white ute crashed into the back of his car and both drivers got out. Seeing limited damage, the pair agreed to pull over and exchange details. Dermott said the other man claimed he was feeling sick and moved toward some bushes, leaning over as though he might vomit. But when Dermott went to see if the man needed help, he was hit in the head repeatedly with a metal object.
