Finally knowing the truth about his father's death is painful, but a huge relief to Peter, who hasn't been able to move on with his life. In season 2, audiences will see Peter act as his own man without the fear that he will become his father hanging over his head. However, it would leave a plot hole in the show that would never fully be closed until he's either captured or killed. Having him pop up at an unexpected moment could be a great Easter egg for fans of the first season, but it could also take viewers out of the new plot and thrust them back into season 1.
