PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed into law a measure that seeks to protect and ensure the welfare of entertainment workers, particularly those in film and television, Malacañang said on Tuesday.Republic Act 11996, or the Act Protecting the Welfare of Workers in the Movie and Television Industry, was signed on May 24.
Violators of any section of the law shall be fined up to P100,000 for the first offense, up to P200,000 for second offense, and up to P500,000 for the third and succeeding offenses.Cheers to new lawSen.
