The Corrie actor suggested uploading a new profile picture to the dating app Tinder

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has made a cheeky joke about his single status after breaking up with his former soap co-star Tisha Merry.

Three months post-breakup, Alan shared a humorous moment on Instagram which led him to make a dig at single life, and suggesting he might be using dating apps to find a new partner. On Sunday, May 26, the 41-year-old actor shared the funny moment a playful dog attempted to mount him.He posted a picture of the dog, captioning it with a face-in-hand emoji: "Apparently we're not best friends. Most action I've had in a while ffs fml.

Alan, who has played the Weatherfield mechanic in Corrie for two decades, was previously married to Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo Hudson from 2009 to 2018. He also shares his daughter Sienna-Rae with her.
