Nicki Minaj fans have been left waiting inside the Co-op Arena Live for the star to appear tonight following a wave of drama.
This came after a series of social media posts on X after the singer said: "They're trying to keep me from MANCHESTER." During a video she then posted onto her Instagram and X profiles, the American rapper and singer can be seen talking to an Amsterdam officer who accuses her of "carrying drugs".READ MORE: Nicki Minaj stopped by police hours before Co-Op Live gig
Since then, Dutch police have confirmed that Nicki Minaj has been "released to continue her journey." They uploaded a statement to X at 8:46pm that read: "We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey.
Thousands of fans are currently waiting in the arena for the star to take the stage. There is also some concern that even if Nicki Minaj arrives soon, the venue will breach its licensing conditions as gigs cannot go on past 11pm.
