Major plans have been revealed for how Liverpool Central Station and the surrounding area could be completely transformed.

City region leaders are keen to rework the current city centre hubs to both accommodate new high speed lines and to relieve network capacity issues both at Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool CentralIt is felt that the best way to do this is to majorly reconfigure the city centre so that Central and Lime Street are connected in the way some London stations are - such as Kings Cross and St Pancras.
