X-Men 97 has ended its first season as one of the best pieces of Marvel media in history. Not just subjectively, as that’s what I personally believe, but numerically, as it has theWhile season 2 is greenlit and was probably always inevitable, things are…a bit weird. And it appears there’s both good news, and strange news.
“I did write a lot of Season 2,” DeMayo said in a tweet. “However, unlike Season 1, I will not be heavily involved or leading production, cast records, design, editorial, post, music, etc., nor doing any production rewrites as it relates to the creative vision of the show.”on the situation, crediting DeMayo with the plan to bring Apocalypse into the show for season 2, which was teased in the finale.
It’s an odd situation because not only is either party talking about the reason for his firing, but even in a leak-filled Hollywood, we have heard nothing substantial about why this happened. Writers on his previous show, The Witcher, seem to have taken issue with his behavior in the past, but if there was a specific incident here with X-Men 97, we don’t know what it is.
