St Kilda veteran Jimmy Webster has copped boos from Fremantle fans after a big hit forced Michael Frederick out of the game early on Saturday night. Webster leapt to spoil Frederick just minutes into the Marvel Stadium clash and the effort led to the Saints kicking the first goal of the contest.

Jimmy Webster spoil leaves Michael Frederick concussed. But it left Frederick worse for wear, substituted out with concussion despite appearing to avoid the double blow of having his head hit the turf. Webster only recently returned from suspension for a heavy bump on North Melbourne’s Jy Simpkin in a pre-season game. This time, however, he may not be penalised for the brutal collision despite missing the Sherrin.
