The Money Saving Expert, who is also dad to 'Sapphire Susan Lewis', his daughter with wife Lara Lewington, knows all too well the trials and tribulations of parenting during lengthy school breaks. With his daughter set to celebrate her 12th birthday this year, it's no wonder he's contemplating the long stretch of summer holidays in Britain.
Parents with kids under 18 are nearly divided down the middle, with 24.7 per cent backing the idea of reducing the summer vacation, while 22.7 per cent are in favour of maintaining the status quo. Reacting to the poll, Twitter user @Hustling_Fun said: "Not a parent, but I can see benefits of both, I assume children would prefer longer Christmases but also, when we do have a good summer in the UK it can get very warm and I'm sure this would be hard for children to concentrate on school with."
