The film has been given the same release date as the upcoming Naked Gun reboot, which stars Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. James Gunn’s Superman movie, meanwhile, opens in United States theaters the week before , while Matt Shakman’s The Fantastic Four will arrive the week after the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie., who previously made 2019’s Someone Great and 2022’s Do Revenge.
Leah McKendrick is writing the script for the upcoming horror flick, while Neil Moritz serves as a producer. Plot details remain largely under wraps at this time, though Deadline notes thatThe new movie will be the fourth film entry in the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise. The original film, directed by Jim Gillespie, was released in October 1997. It was followed by 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and 2006’s I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.
