A mother and her baby have been abducted from a shopping centre in Melbourne’s southeast and forced on a terrifying drive. The woman was getting out of her Suzuki S Cross at the Stud Park Shopping Centre supermarket car park in Rowville last Friday at 6pm when a man approached her. He threatened her with a knife and forced to get into the driver’s seat of her car. Her infant was still in the back seat and the man got in next to the child.
After leaving the last store in Dandenong, the man forced the woman into the back seat and her drove the car to Robert Booth Reserve. There he got out and fled north on the Dandenong Creek path carrying four MacBooks just after 8pm. The woman and her child were not physically injured during the incident. The offender is described by police as Asian in appearance and aged between 20 and 35 years old.
