Case is a solo artist and member of two supergroups -- New Pornographers and Case/Lang/Veirs -- the latter with K.D. Lang and Lara Veirs has long been a critical favorite with a dedicated fanbase. Case’s alternately powerful and tender vocals are all sung with strength and purpose. Across her 20-plus year career and albums such as “Middle Cyclone,” “Fox Confessor Brings the Flood” and “Hell-On” -- she has incorporated pop, Americana, country, indie rock and whatever she’s feeling.
In 2022, Case released “Wild Creatures,” a 23-track career retrospective collection featuring the single “Oh, Shadowless.” The vinyl version of “Wild Creatures” features essays by friends, artists, and bandmates, including Katie Crutchfield, a.k.a. Waxahatchee, Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson, and A.C. Newman of New Pornographers.
