A Melbourne grandmother has been caught up in a terrifying carjacking incident in the middle of a busy road in the city’s southeast. Fay Elisha, 76, had just finished doing her shopping at Malvern Central on Wattletree Rd, Malvern on Monday afternoon when she noticed an “agitated” man heckling some construction workers.
Grandmother targeted in carjacking. As she hopped in her car to leave the shopping centre, the grandmother-of-four told 7NEWS, the man ran towards her and yelled at her to get out. “My eyes froze, my feet froze, I just stood there,” she said. “I just did as I was told, got out of the car, terribly shaken. “He got me by the T-shirt I was wearing, around the neck and just pulled me out because I wasn’t going fast enough.
