EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal has hit the red carpet at the Baftas EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal appears to have suffered a nasty injury after attending the Baftas wearing a moon boot and using crutches. The actress, 45, has played Suki Panesar in the BBC soap opera since January 2020. With a career spanning two decades, she has also appeared in other shows including Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Doctors and Hollyoaks.

In a heartfelt statement, she explained that Nirmal had ‘passed peacefully, with dignity & grace, just as she’d lived her whole life’. She has played Suki Kaur Panesar since 2020 ‘As we told people, the one thing constant in people’s memory was Mums huge warm smile, her ability to adapt to change & show love & respect to all,’ she wrote, alongside a collection of photos of Nirmal with her family members.
