A team in Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul state on Thursday morning rescued a horse that had been stranded on a rooftop by the massive floods, providing a dose of hope to a beleaguered region. The horse, dubbed Caramelo by social media users because of its tawny fur, was first spotted by a television news helicopter the day before.

Michelle Mann ENTERPRISE-Sixteen illegal gambling machines were seized from three separate businesses in Enterprise Wednesday night in a joint law enforcement operation dubbed “Operation Las Vegas.”

Tarbox characterized the mission as “a meticulously planned and executed joint task force” that also included interpreting assistance from an Alabama State Trooper and medical backup from Enterprise Rescue. People are also reading… “The operation last night was the culmination of hours of hard work during the joint investigation by both agencies,” Tarbox said Thursday, adding that the operation began late last year with surveillance of illegal gambling machines in the city. At that time multiple letters, each signed by the district attorney, police chief, and sheriff were hand-delivered to the businesses.

“This is public notice to everybody that these gaming machines are illegal,” said Moore, commending the efforts of the joint task force. “We work well together, and we will continue to work well together.”
