The AFL world has been in a spin after figures were released this week that showed Richmond were at the bottom of the ‘free kick ladder’. The issue is a particular thorny one for Tigers fans and one they have been dealing with for some time.

footy boss responds to Richmond free kick question. After eight rounds this year, Richmond are the worst club for free kick differentials ; that is the total difference in the free kicks they have received compared to what their opposition has been awarded. The GWS Giants are next with -43 and then Geelong with -30, while Carlton has had the best run with +32, followed by Essendon at +29.
