Fuel was on sale for just 99c per litre at a service station at Punchbowl in Sydney’s southwest on Tuesday — and the promotional offering was just the first of many. Metro Petroleum will begin offering 99c fuel — including petrol, diesel and gas — between 3pm and 5m on the first Tuesday of each month at surprise select stations across Australia.
Punchbowl traffic banks up for 99c petrol. The cost-of-living relief is the result of a partnership between national rewards club Dreams Come True and Metro Petroleum. While the first sale at Punchbowl was available to everyone to promote the collaboration, future fuel sales will be exclusively for members of the DCT Club, which costs $19.90 a month. However, DCT Club said more promotional sales that are available to everyone “are not off the table”.
