British actor Ian Gelder, who starred on Game of Thrones, died on Monday, May 6 following a battle with cancer. He was 74.

An actor who had a starring role on Game of Thrones has died following a “dreadful illness,” his husband has announced.

Gelder, who was best known for his role as Kevan Lannister on the hit HBO series, was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in December, according to his husband Ben Daniels.Gelder was battling bile duct cancer. Picture: Getty
