After a five year hiatus from the Met Gala, Challengers-star Zendaya made a long awaited return to the steps of the Met Museum, as a first-time co-chair of the event. And to mark the occasion, the actress staged a fashion coup, delivering not one but two awe-inspiring red carpet looks.Fans were glued to their screens, impatiently awaiting the 26-year-old’s arrival - and rightfully so.
First up, a custom haute couture look by John Galliano for Maison Margiela , made up of a sage lamé and organza bias-cut dress worn over a duchess satin corset, topped with a headpiece created by Stephen Jones. And while her first outing would have been satisfactory enough, no one could have expected a second outing towards the end of the evening in an equally as impressive get-up, designed, too, by Galliano.
We didn’t expect to be disappointed by Zendaya but her double outing certainly exceeded expectations, and rightfully earned the actress a spot in the Met Gala hall of fame.Just so you know, whilst we may receive a commission or other compensation from the links on this website, we never allow this to influence product selections -
