HULU SELANGOR: A 33% voter turnout has been recorded as at 9.45am on Tuesday in conjunction with early voting for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.
Returning officer Yuhanas Auree Kamaruddin said early voting involved a total of 863 voters at two centres, namely the multi-purpose hall of the Royal Malaysian Police College and the 4th Infantry Division of the Royal Signals Regiment.“About 33% have came out to vote so far, and this is rather high. Many have came to vote since the centres opened at 8am and everything has been smooth,” he told reporters outside the multi-purpose hall of the Royal Malaysian Police College here.
He also called on all registered voters in Kuala Kubu Baharu to exercise their democratic responsibility.He added that there would be 18 polling stations on polling day this Saturday . Yuhanas Auree said all stations will be opened from 8am to 6pm on Saturday, except for the Bukit Fraser polling station, which will be closed at 2pm.The by-election sees a four-cornered fight between Pang Sock Tao , Khairul Azhari Saut , Hafizah Zainuddin and Independent Nyau Ke Xin.Second suspect nabbed over acid attack on national footballer Faisal
