A young woman has been left with a "catastrophic spinal injury" after the lead singer of an Australian punk rock band leapt into the crowd during a concert in New York.
Bird Piche was watching the Newcastle-based band Trophy Eyes perform in Buffalo on April 30 when singer John Floreani jumped into the mosh pit.READ MORE:Bird Piché underwent extensive surgery for her injuries, according to a GoFundMe page started by a family friend. "She has a long recovery ahead and will need all the help she can get," the crowdfunding appeal read. "It is still too early to know what her prognosis is but after leaving the hospital she will need to go to a rehab facility.Trophy Eyes is a Newcastle-based punk rock band. "This situation has shaken us all to our core, and we ask for patience while we look to help Bird navigate this difficult time.
