Kieran McKenna looks set to return to Old Trafford next season after guiding Ipswich Town to promotion to the Premier League.
The victory means that Ipswich will join Leicester City in playing in the top-flight alongside United next season. The Championship play-offs will commence this month, with Leeds United, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City battling for the final promotion spot. All eyes will be on the Premier League fixture announcement next month when it will be confirmed when United will face Ipswich home and away. The home fixture is now expected to see McKenna return to Old Trafford for the first time since he left United.
Ten Hag's side are sixth in the Premier League table and face Crystal Palace on Monday night. United have just four more top-flight fixtures to try and secure European qualification, with the Champions League now officially out of reach.
