BBC legal drama The Split is returning to our screens for a two-part special after the show came to an end in 2022 - and its welcoming a new cast member. The series stars Nicola Walker as family lawyer Hannah Defoe, navigating her high-intensity career with her complicated love life.
The special will pick up two years on from the series finale, with Hannah and her family gathering for a beautiful wedding in Catalonia's wine region. "Set across one sun soaked weekend, The Split will encompass break-ups, reunions and like all good weddings, plenty of romance," the BBC teases. Joining the show for the special is James Bond star Toby Stephens, who is best known for his roles in die Another Day, Jane Eyre, Black Sails and Lost in Space. He's set to play the role of Archie Moore - let's hope he's a potential love interest for Hannah!
"Problematic prenups, scandalous wedding crashers, and low flying marriage proposals, as rom com meets gone wrong, in a chaotic and riotous weekend that guarantees to crack open the heart, before the last of the guests have gone home."
