A spokesperson for the production has confirmed that the Thursday show will "go ahead as scheduled".

The hit musical Hamilton will be running in Singapore till Jun 9. Ticketholders for the Wednesday show of Hamilton in Singapore were left disappointed following the abrupt cancellation of the performance – one hour before showtime. According to organiser Base Entertainment Asia, the cancellation was due to an"unexpected illness within the company".

In a deleted TikTok video, a ticketholder showed an SMS she received from ticketing platform Sistic, sent at 6.52pm, informing her of the cancellation. She also showed an email sent from Sistic on behalf of Base Entertainment Asia which can be seen below.

A spokesperson from the Hamilton production told CNA Lifestyle:"Due to unexpected illness within the company, last night’s performance of Hamilton was, unfortunately, cancelled. Cancelling a performance is always the last resort and all measures were taken to avoid this. Despite this, the performance was unable to go ahead. All impacted patrons are being offered the opportunity to see the show on another occasion.
