Final selections will be announced in late June, and the trolls are expected to be unveiled in late September.

Published: May. 01, 2024, 11:46 a.m.Burlington County has launched a creative initiative called “Burlington County Troll Trek,” where artists are invited to create large trolls using recycled materials. This artistic endeavor aims to expand the community of whimsical sculptures initiated by Thomas Dambo’s “Big Rusty,” a large troll sculpture situated at the anticipated Creek Turn Park in Hainesport.

A stipend of $500 will be provided to selected artists to assist with materials and installation costs. The initiative, funded by the New Jersey Arts Council and “supported by various local entities,” seeks to “emphasize the importance of recycling and sustainability through public art.”
