Sydneysiders are facing a weekend washout, with a month’s worth of rain forecast to drench the city from Friday to Sunday. A deluge of more than 100mm is expected in Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and further afield along both the south and north NSW coasts — affections millions of people. Brisbane and Perth are also set for rain. On Thursday, the Bureau of Meteorology’s Angus Hines warned Sunrise viewers about the dreary conditions.
