Double shampooing is one of the haircare trends which have dominated beauty fans TikTok for you page, but hair experts warn the method may not be all it's cracked up to be

The hashtag #DoubleShampooing has already clocked up over 7 million views on TikTok as people are becoming more and more interested in the method and what is has to offer our locks.

By removing all impurities from your tresses, you allow for haircare products to penetrate your locks more deeply. If you do want to give double shampooing a go, make sure to only target your scalp when doing it because the lengths of your hair don't produce any oil and will, therefore, be dryer to begin with.
