A Jungle visit, not-so-fresh Air, an inner-city indie music festival and a couple of PNG-born singers round out this month’s list.

After a celebrated 2022 sold-out performance on the forecourt as part of the Opera House’s 50th anniversary celebrations – which has now been immortalised in a live album – R&B and future-soul singer-songwriter Ngaiire and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra are back for a repeat.

As a bonus, the concert will feature an opening performance of Australian instrumentalist and producer Godriguez’s project as Godtet with the SSO,With many a dingy inner-city Sydney pub now gentrified out of existence, you’d be forgiven for thinking the city’s underground music scene is, at best, on its last legs.

Held in hipster haven Marrickville over two days, punters can catch local bands like R.M.F.C., Photogenic and Optic Nerve, as well as a few visitors from interstate, including Alex Macfarlane and Possible Humans .
