As for the upcoming prequel's plot, Disney announced that Rafiki -- played again by John Kani -- will share the story of orphaned cub Mufasa with his granddaughter, Kiara. Mufasa eventually crosses paths with a lion prince named Taka , who takes Mufasa in as a brother.
