Knightmage100 revealed their awesome Swamp Thing cosplay in a post on Instagram. The shoot, consisting of four photos, shows knightmage100 wearing an outfit similar to Swamp Thing’s appearance in his 1990s television show. The first image features Swamp Thing standing in a creek, lumbering towards the camera. The next two photos feature Swamp Thing holding an unconscious Abigail Arcane in his hands.
Swamp Thing became one of USA’s top-rated shows, despite taking a pummeling from critics. They criticized the show for being campy with terrible acting and production values. While the critics may not have liked Swamp Thing, it still connected with fans. The show did not completely utilize Swamp Thing’s deep lore, but still featured Doctor Anton Arcane as well as his Un-Men, showing a commitment to engaging with the source material.
