Daithi O’Se responds to rumours that RTE Today will continue through the summer

The television presenter has co-hosted the popular afternoon show since it started back in 2012.

He said: “With the Today Show, we’ve been very, very lucky. We started that in 2012 and we were doing 80 shows a year and the show was 50 minutes.“It’s a lot of TV and there are rumours that it might be going on through the summer next year. Not this year, but the following year.”“I’ve been very lucky to have a show like that,” the RTE star added.

“In the beginning, the show was a bit more serious than it is now. We decided to change because you have an hour of news on after us. You the Nuacht and the Six One News. They do what they do and they do very well. “We were staying away from all kinds of serious news stories and death. We injected a bunch of fun and positivity into the show. That turned the show around.
